Established 1948   DENISON - Vera "Fern" Bush, 94, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at Brentwood Place in Denison. Services for Mrs. Bush will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 2401 W. Morton St., Denison, with Rev. Rusty Denny officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Bush, John Reeve, Patrick Riley, Helen Soucy, Greg Korbelic and Dick Soucy. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman. Mrs. Bush was born on March 28, 1915 in Colbert, Okla., the daughter of Angus Giles and Myrtle Cassidy. She married Jesse T. Bush on Nov. 24, 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1983. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She owned and operated Bond Street Day Care Center in Denison for many years. She is survived by son Douglas Bush and wife Jo of Denison; daughter Lois McPhail of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters Jo Ann Korbelic of Wylie, Donella Baecht of Savoy, Lorene Garvin and husband Tommy of Elmore City, Okla.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-greatgrandchildren; friend and caregiver Betty Cunningham of Denison. She was preceded in death by husband Jesse; daughter Joyce Soucy; four brothers and six sisters. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W.
