Boatman 5 August 1933 - 26 May 2012 Terry Joe Boatman 31 December 1949 - 31 March 2003 Sergeant US Army Vietnam Sherman - Carolyn Joyce Boatman, 78, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at her home in Sherman, Texas. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, May 30, 2012 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Mattingly officiating. Burial followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas. Pallbearers were Matt Hardie, Josh Hardie, Codie Ivins, Lucas Alexander, Bobby Ferguson, and Brien Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers were James Alexander and Billy Ferguson, Jr. Carolyn was born August 5, 1933 in Louise, Texas, daughter of Charles L. Raybon and Mary Letha Payne Raybon. She married Terry Boatman on June 11, 1978 in New Braunfels, Texas. She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, wife, a great mother, and grandmother. She was owner/operator of Best Service Tank Wash. She is survived by son, Ronald Ferguson, of Sherman, Texas; daughters, Nancy Hebert and husband, Wilton, of Gordonville, Texas; Stacy Knox and husband, Brent, of Sherman; Jacque Lee and husband, Brendan, of Boswell, Oklahoma; Sandy Proctor of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Linda Harris of Flower Mound, Texas; brother, Charles L. Raybon, Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Riverside, California; sisters, Lorraine Davis and husband, Henry, of Houston, Texas; and Doris Hambrick of Conroe, Texas; 61 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Billy and David Ferguson; daughter, Cathy Kobylus; grandson, Johnathon Norris; sister, Mary Lou Dewitt and brother, Aubry Raybon.
