Established 1948  Services for Lottie B. Atkinson of Denison, who passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021, were held Thursday morning, February 11, 2021 at Dannel Funeral Home. Pastor Frank Alegria of Lakeway United Methodist Church in Pottsboro, Texas officiated. Interment followed the service at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman, Texas.
Lottie was born on July 1, 1930 in Spur, Texas, daughter of C.B. and Ruby Fullerton. She was the oldest of 4 children and was raised in Jonesboro, Louisiana. She attended schools in Jonesboro and graduated from Jonesboro High School. She loved to quilt, garden, and do many other crafts. She loved God and was a charter member of Lakeway United Methodist Church in Pottsboro. Lottie is survived by her 4 children: Ronnie Smitherman and wife, Paul, of Denison; Sheila Treadway and husband, David, of Saline, Louisiana; Glenn Atkinson and wife, Mary, of Denison; Patricia Thornhill and husband, Bill, of Denison; sister, Nita Gaines and husband, Billy, of Jonesboro, Louisiana; brother, Floyd Fullerton and wife, Nancy of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie Fullerton; and her husband of 59 years, Gary Atkinson.
