 DENISON - Kenneth Don Arthur, 68, went peacefully home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Centennial Medical Center. Mr. Arthur was born April 20, 1940 in Denison, son of Earl and Alma Farme) Arthur. Kenneth married Barbara Jean Landers on June 13, 1959 in Denison. Kenneth worked as an engineer for the Katy and Union Pacific Railroad before retiring with more than 28 years of service. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was a loving father and poppie and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Arthur was survived by his loving family: daughters, Shelly Schumacher and husband, Jay, of Frisco; and Kristin Arthur of Dallas; son, Kenny Arthur and wife, Suzie, of Saginaw; Poppy to Emily and Haden Schumacher, Kaetlin, Gracie and Paige Arthur. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, December 10, 2008 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marc Rylander officiating. Interment followed at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Pallbearers were Robbie Thomason, Kyle Leininger, Spence Redwine, Mike Bennett, Reece Patterson and Kenneth Gouge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 1132, Fairfax, Virginia 22038. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main in Denison.
