Established 1948   Doris E. Adams 1927 - 2013 Claude H. Adams 1921 - 1978  DENISON - Doris Elizabeth Adams, 86, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Beacon Hill Nursing Home. Private graveside services were held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 with Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Doris was born March 15, 1927 in Como, Texas, the daughter of Jesse Albert and Mabel Morris Summers. She married C. H. Adams, Jr. on July 7, 1945 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He preceded her in death in March of 1978. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Denison, worked for Diaper Jeans for many years, worked for Casual Corner, and retired from Dillards Department Store after 12 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to American Heart Association , 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231. She is survived by her daughter, Dorrise Hayes and her husband, David Hall of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Adams, Lara Jackson and Larissa Hayes; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. H. Adams, Jr.; son, Larry Adams; four brothers and one sister.
