Mr. Aday was born March 21, 1924 in Denison, Texas, son od Dean Lee and Vera Ollie Melton Aday.  He attended Carpenter's Bluff schools.  He married Edwinna Taylor of Denison on April 11, 1943.
Mr. Aday was a retired conductor from the MKT Railroad with 42 years of service.  He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.  Mr. Aday served in the National Guard, the Texas National Guard, 36th Signal Co., 36th Infantry Division.  He was a former local chairman of & UTU for 16 years and was Vice General Chairman serving on the Board of the MKT Railroad Hospital Association.  He was also a member of the Denison Elks Lodge #239 for 41 years.
Mr. Aday is survived by his wife; sons, Michael Lee Aday of Mesquite; John Robert Aday of Denison; and Terry Lynn Aday of Bedford, Texas; sisters, Joann Minor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Mary Layton of Denison; and grandchildren, Brian Aday of Wylie; Chris Aday of Denison; and Sean and Lisa Aday of Mesquite, Texas.
Services were entrusted to Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison, Texas.



Edwinna Aday, 90 year old resident of Denison, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at The Terrace of Denison.
Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2015 at Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Allen W. Snider officiating.
Edwinna was born in Denison, Texas on August 22, 1924, daughter of John and Della Taylor.  She graduated from Denison High School and married Allen V. Aday on April 11, 1943 in Denison, Texas.  Edwinna was a homemaker and Past Worthy Matron of Gate City Order Chapter #77 of the Eastern Star.  She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Lee Aday and wife, Doris, of Mesquite; John Robert Aday and wife, Cathy, of Denison; and Terry Lynn Aday and wife, Shelley, of Bedford; grandchildren, Brian Aday, Chris Aday, Sean Aday and Lisa Aday; and great-grandchildren, Ella and Amelia Aday.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Fred Scoggins.
Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison, Texas.
