Mrs. Margaret M. Murphy
During the services at St. Patrick's last Sunday, Rev. Father Crowley announced the death of Mrs. Margaret M. Murphy, wife of J.R. Murphy.  The death of Mrs. Murphy was unexpected.  She was feeling so well that she requested her children to attend church.  Mrs. Murphy has for some time suffered greatly from asthma, but the immediate cause of death was Bright's disease.
The deceased was born in Nova Scotia, New Foundland.  She was married to Mr. Murphy at Harrisburgh, Canada, 35 years ago, 8 children being born to the union, 7 of which survive the mother.  Mr. and Mrs. Murphy have resided in Denison about 20 years.  A pathetic feature of her death was the absence of her husband, whom a
telegram so far has failed to reach.
Mrs. Murphy was a gentle and most loveable wife and mother.  She was wrapped up in her fam ily, and her teachings and example have borne good fruit.  She was a kind and just neighbor and her death has caused
wide spread sorrow.  She performed well her duty in life, and if there is such a  legacy as future rewqrds after life's fitful struggle is over, she will receive her just reward. She was an exemplary Catholic and her religious belief was a great consolation to her in hours of sickness.
The funeral took place Tuesday, the 27th from the family residence, No. 405 W. Crawford street, at 9:30 a.m.   Services were held at St. Patrick's church.  A large number of sympathizing friends and neighbors were present to pay the last respects. The interment was at Calvary cemetery.
