Friday, July 7, 1944 pg.5 Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Hornbeck [sic] were held Tuesday from St. Patrick's church with Rev. Thomas Zachary officiating, followed by interment at Calvary. Her death came early Sunday morning suddenly at her home, 105 E. Morton street. Rosary services were held Monday evening at the Short-Murray Funeral Home. A resident of Denison 35 years, Mrs. Hornbeck was born in Plantersville, April 27, 1899, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hock. She moved to Denison with her parents while still a child and attended public schools here, later attending Ursuline Academy in Dallas. She was married here September 6, 1915 to Mr. Hornbeck, who is chief timekeeper in the Katy Railroom, district superintendent's office. Mrs. Hornbeck was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and St. Patrick's Altar Society. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bertin C. Ganter, San Antonio; her mother, Mrs. Henry Hock of Denison; 6 sisters, Mrs. Bettie Winkler, Gladewater; Sister Anthony, Dallas; Mrs. Maggie Cline, Humble; Mrs. Johann Winkler, Stoneham; and Mrs. Mary Blanke and Miss Madeline Hock of Denison; and 4 brothers, Henry Hock of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Martin, Joe, and August Hock, all of Denison.
