The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, July 31, 1898 Death is busy in our community, and has carried off another of our most worthy young ladies. The Gazetteer regrets to chronicle the death of Miss Mary Emma Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James G. Morris, which occurred Friday night. The deceased was 20 years of age. Miss MOrris had been an invalid about 17 months. In this city Miss Morris was born and raised. The deceased was a young lady of retiring disposition. It was in the home circle where she was most admired; enjoying relations of the warmest mutual esteem with neighbors and friends; it is they who will miss her most and feel the deepest sorrow at her untimely taking off. She was a dutiful daughter, full of good deeds to her parents, and in her life was exemplified the loftiest Christian virtues. The funeral took place to-day (Saturday) at 5 o'clock p.m. from the family residence, No. 931 West Woodard street. The interment was at the Calvary cemtery. There will be services at the Catholic church. Calvary Cemetery Susan Hawkins © 2024 If you find any of Grayson County TXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message |
