story states that John Francis "Johnny"Kirschner was buried in a
Catholic cemetery near the railroad tracts in Denison, Texas. The Dallas Morning News Saturday, July 15, 1889 pg. 8 MORTUARY Denison, Tex., July 14 - John Kirschner, aged 32 years, 3 months and 20 days, died at his home on the Choctaw last night. The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, July 16, 1889 pg. 4 JOHN KIRSCHNER DEAD After a long illness John Kirschner died at his home east of the city Thursday. The deceased was an industrious farmer and highly esteemed in the neighborhood where he conducted a farm. At te time of death he was aged 32 years, 3 months and 22 days. The funeral, which took place Friday from the residence of Mr. Hugo Koeppen, 714 W. Sears street, was largely attended. The interment was at the Calvary Cemetery. The deceased was the brother of Mrs. Hugo Koeppen, and she was very much attached to him. He leaves a wife and 4 children to mourn his loss.
