The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, January 7, 1900 pg. 7 MIKE O'CONNOR DEAD The many friends of ths young man in Denison and the surrounding country will hear with regret the sad tidings which is told in the head line of this notice. Mr. O'Connor died Tuesday night at 10 o'clock of typhoid pneumonia at the house of his mother, five miles east of the city. He was sick about three weeks. His friends were hopeful that owing to a robust constitution, that he might recover. The deceased was 18 years of age. He was a model young man; everybody who knew him, loved hime. He was a dutiful and loving son and passed away in full faith of the catholic church. The decease was the nephew of Mike and John Corcoran. His brother Con O'Connor is a citizen of Denison and an employee of the M.K. & T. shops. He leaves a mother and three brothers to mourn his untimely end. The funeral took place Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. There was a large turnout of sorrowing friends to pay the last respects. He was laid to rest at Calvary cemetery.
