Taylor, 72, retired Katy conductor, died at the Katy Employeed Hospital Monday, April 6, at 7 a.m. after a year of illness. He had been in the hospital 10 days. His home was at 730 W. Day. Funeral services were held at Johnson-Moore Chapel Wednesday April 8 at 10 a.m. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Rev. Father Morrissey conducted the services. Taylor was born in Benton, Illinois, September 13, 1886, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Taylor. He attended school in Ft. Worth and Denison and had served the Katy railroad for 38 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Order of the Railway Conductors. He is survived by his widow of Denison.
