Sherman Daily Democrat 22 December 1886 A Good Woman Dead The funeral of Sister Ignatins, one of the sisters of St. Xavier Academy, of Denison took place yesterday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Patrick's church, that city. The highly esteemed sister had been sick a long time with consumption. The school children followed their beloved teacher to her last resting place, as did also a large number of sorrowful friends. The deceased has been a frequent visitor to St. _______ Academy here, and (illegible).....their sweet odors as an incense over the grave of this noble woman who forsook the world and took up the cross of her Savior and died in a most noble cause to awake in a blissful realization of Heaven.
