The Denison Herald Thursday, October 23, 1919 pg.2 INFANT FALLS INTO TUB OF WATER; DROWNS The one-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Thorpe shortly after noon today by falling into a tub of water which stood in the yard of the residence. Mr. Thorpe is night yardmaster of the Katy at Ray terminal and resides nearby. The tub had been placed in the yard, presumably to catch rain water and the child, while playing in the yard in some unaccountable manner fell into the water and was drowned before he could be rescued. Thorpe, who drowned Thursday aftnoonm were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence near the Ray Yard Terminals. Interment was made at the Calvary Cemetery by George Shields, funeral director.
