The Denison Press Monday, January 11, 1937 pg. 1 MRS. GILMORE DIES SUNDAY AT RESIDENCE Mrs. Lena Gilmore, 79, residing at 226 W. Crawford street, following an illness that lasted for eighteen months died Sunday at 7:30 a.m. at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 9 a.m. from St. Patrick's church with Rev. B.J. Deeney officiating. Interment will be at Calvary with Short-Murray directing. Mrs. Gilmore was born at Galveston November 19, 1857 and received her education at that point. She was married in that city to John Gilmore, a cabinet maker who met death by a railroad accident in Louisiana. Mrs. Gilmore. with her family, moved to Denison to reside in 1900, where she reared educated her children. Her early residence was in the 100 block of Rusk Avenue. For the past year she made her home with a son and grandson at 266 W. Crawford street. Her health began to fail eighteen months ago and she has been in a serious condition for the past six months. Surviving are one son, John of this city; and one daughter, Mrs. J.J. Donnelly of El Paso. Grandchildren are Mrs. Thelma O'Keefe and Mrs. Helen Mahon of El Paso and Mrs. W.A. Nedeau of Wichita, Kansas. A grandson, John B. Gilmore, lives in Denison. A sister, Mrs. Mary Ackerman, lives at Fresno, California.
