  Mary Frances Piazza 2 September 1934 - 19 March 2010   The Herald Democrat March 22, 2010 Mary Frances Lane Piazza, 75-year-old Denison resident, passed away Friday, March 19 at her home. Mrs. Piazza was born on September 2, 1934 in Whitesboro, the daughter of Charles Wesley Lane and Deatrice Breeden Lane. She was a graduate of Denison High School. Frances wed Angelo "Pete" Piazza on October 14, 1955. Fran's talent and creativity was endless...she brought joy and great humor to every aspect of her life and kept us all laughing through our tears until the end. Fran's generous heart and giving spirit knew no bounds. She pursued a number of interests and was known to friends and family as a marvelous painter, poet, master gardener, avid reader and cook. Fran effortlessly drew people into her circle, and once there, no one wanted to leave, as evidenced by her life long friendships. Her love and devotion to her children was expressed in countless ways. Fran stayed close to her children and grandchildren enjoying and participating in their accomplishments throughout their lives. Mrs. Piazza is survived by her loving family: husband of 54 years, Angelo "Pete" Piazza; children, Marie Billings and husband Keith Billings of Waco; Donna DiPaola of Sherman; Charles "Chip" Piazza and wife Ronda Piazza of Denison; and Joseph Piazza and wife Kari Piazza of Denison; grandchildren, Anna Billings, Sam DiPaola, Emily Billings, Andrus Piazza, Anthony Piazza, Robert Billings, Mason Root and Nelson Root; sister, Tommie Poe of Denison. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Deatrice Lane; daughter, D'Angela Piazza; sisters, Jackie Begley and Glenda Sylvia. A Rosary prayer will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison, immediately followed by family visitation. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
