Vincent Alberto 1883 - 1943 The Denison Press Friday, January 22, 1943 pg. 8 DEATH ROLL Vincent Alberto, 60, livint at 519 E. Morton for the past 20 years, died at 5 a.m. Thursday in a local hospital following an illness of four days. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Patrick's Church Friday morning with Rev. Thomas Zachary officiating. Interment will be at Calvary with Short-Murray directing. Rosary services were had at the chapel Thursday night. Born in Tusa, Italy, October 29, 1883, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Salvador Alberto. He was married July 9, 1922, to Miss Mary Bruno in Denison. Left an orphan in Italy, he came to the United States as a young boy and was educated by his relatives. He took out naturalization papers on coming to maturity. He located in Denison in 1917, coming from Marshall where he was in the grocery business, which business he also followed on reaching Denison. He has operated a business at 117 So. Austin avenue. Surviving are his widow; a son, Charles, of Denison; a daughter, Miss Joanne Alberto of Denison; and several distant relatives. Two sisters live in Italy.
