The Sherman Daily Democrat Monday, March 6, 1911 pg. 5 The funeral of M.C. Broil [sic], who died Saturday afternoon of blood poisoning at his home, No. 101 East Walker from St. Patrick's Church and the interment was at Calvary cemetery. The decedent was 72 years of age and his death was due to a trivial injury. While putting wood into an stove he scratched his hand. Blood poisoning developed and death ensued in a few days. Members of his family who live abroad were present when he died. Mr. Broll had lived in Denison many years and was one of our most respected citizens. He was laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
