The Denison Press Friday, December 25, 1942 pg. 11 DEATH ROLL Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Martin Mulcahy this week for George Henry Brown, 76, a retired blacksmith who died Friday at his home, 1012 DuBois street. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery with Short-Murray directing. Pallbearers were Charles Holden, Perry Lindsey, Joe Capelle, Joe Hamblett, Stephen Bruno and C.J. Corcoran. Mr. Brown, a resident of Denison several years, had been ill for the past six months. He began his career as a blacksmith for the Katy railroad. He formerly was water superintendent at Kerrville where he made his home from 1929 - 1939. From Kerrville he moved to California, returning to Denison in 1940. His widow, three sons and five daughters survive.
