The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, August 4, 1907 pg. 4 Mrs. Ida Wisdom Dead The Gazetteer regrets to chronicle the death of policeman Harve Wisdom which occured Wednesday. The deceased has been an invalid for several years. No woman that ever lived made a braver fight against the inevitable than this lady. Her spirit was undaunted and it was under heroic courage has kept her alive when most persons under similar circumstances would have succumbed. With all her terrible suffering, she was uncomplaining. She accepted things as they came. Her husband exhausted every means to keep her with him, but all in vain. Mrs. Wisdom had the most loving care, her every wish was gratified. There never was a more devoted husband. The deceased hoped to the last that she might live, and like the brave woman, she was, her expression was, "While there is life, there is hope." She was a very pretty woman and when death came to call her away, was in the prime of life. The deceased was born in Ft. Scott, and at the time of her death was 38 years and 7 months old, and had been married to Mr. Wisdom several years. She was a member of the Catholic church, and the funeral services were held from St. Joseph's. She was also a member of White Rose Grove No. 4 Woodman's Circle. The interment was made at the Calvary Cemetery. Calvary Cemetery Susan Hawkins © 2024 If you find any of Grayson County TXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message |
