Friday, May 5, 1944 pg. 6 Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Hiser were conducted Wednesday morning at St. Joseph church with Rev. Martin Mulcahy officiating, with interment at Calvary. Short-Murray directed. Mrs. Hiser died at her home, route 2, Wednesday where she had resided for 67 years. Born November 1, 1864 at Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Brunett. Her schooling was received in St. Xavier's Academy, Denison. She was married in 1885 here. Surviving are a son, Frank, of this city and a daughter, Mrs. Alma Craddock, Ada, Oklahoma. Besides 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, other relatives survive.
