The Denison Press Friday, March 28, 1952 pg. 6 Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Saturday for Frank Balsano, 89, native of Italy, who died at Madonna hospital Thursday after two weeks' illness. The Rev. Father Martin Mulcahy officiated and burial was in Calvary cemetery with Bratcher-Moore funeral directors in charge of arrangements. A rosary service was held at Bratcher-Moore funeral chapel on Thursday. Mr. Balsano, operator of a confectionary store for many years, was born February 14, 1862, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Balsano. He received his education in Italy. He was married in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1890 to Miss Lora Scanio, who died in 1917. He was a member of St. Joseph's church, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Survivors are two sons, Ben of Tulsa and S.H. of Fort Worth; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Pattie and Mrs. Katie LaFon, Denison; Mrs. Mary Lama and Mrs. Beatrice Tranham of New Orleans.
