John Hutzler 1887 - 1911 Anna W. Hutzler 1863 - 1908 The Denison Daily Herald Saturday, February 15, 1908 pg. 7 Mrs. Anna Givens, aged 45 years, died this morning at 6:45 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Hugo Koeppen, No. 812 West Gandy Street, after a lingering illness from a complication of diseases. Besides her husband, W.S. Givens, she is survived by one son, John Hutzler, of this city, and four sisters as follows: Mesdames Hugo Koeppen, R. Miller, F. Heimburger of this city and Mrs. C.W. Etter of Frederick, Oklahoma, who is too ill to attend the funeral. Mrs. Givens, who was formerly Miss Anna Kirschner was married to John Hutzler who died fourteen years ago. Two years later she married W.S. Givens, who survives her. She resided in Denison twenty-five years. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock and after services at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, interment will be made in Calvary cemetery. The Sunday Gazetteer Sunday, August 13, 1911 pg. 4 HOME NEWS J.A. Hutzler, an employe of the bridge and building department of the M. K. & T., died last Wednesday at the Sedalia hospital at the age of 24 years. Some time ago while working he was overcome by heat and had never since entirely recovered. For a while he stayed at the home of his aunt, Mrs. H. Koeppen, on W. Gandy street, but was taken to the hospital later. He was born near Denison and had many friends here. The burial will take place from the residence of Mrs. H. Koeppen, 812 W. Gandy street, Sunday morning at 8:30, to St. Patrick's church. Interment in Calvary cemetery.
