 Mary Vogel Ramsey 12 February 1950 - 3 December 2009  Mary Anita Vogel, 59, passed away in Denton, Texas, on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009. She was born on Feb. 12, 1950, in Parsons, Kan. She earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton and worked for years as a teacher and music director for Immaculate Conception Catholic School. At the time of her passing she was the director of music for St. Ann Catholic Church in Burleson. She is survived by her best friend Lisa Simpson; children Lynn Ramsey and wife Megan of Winter Garden, Fla., Jay Ramsey and wife Amber of Denton, Randi Pickney of Gainesville, Ryan Ramsey and wife Siner of Plano, and Ross Ramsey of North Richland Hills; parents, Bill and Ruth Vogel of Denton; Brothers, Deacon Gary Vogel of Denison and Joe Vogel of Hutto; sisters, Nancy Van Kirk of Wichita Falls, Susan Vogel of Denison, Teri Reeves of Denton, and Jacque Bresnahan of Coppell; grandchildren Ava Ramsey, Becca and Katy Hilliard; Adam and Brian Pickney and Colton Ramsey; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors, 2025 W. University Drive in Denton, on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2255 N. Bonnie Brae St. in Denton, on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. with the Most Reverend Kevin W. Vann, the Reverend Mel Bessellieu, the Reverend James Flynn and the Reverend Victor Cruz officiating. Pallbearers will be Jay Ramsey, Ross Ramsey, Ryan Ramsey, Joe Vogel, Daniel Vogel, Brad Vogel, David Vogel and Kevin Van Kirk. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Denison.
