The Denison Press Friday, June 17, 1960 pg. 5 DEATHS Funeral services for Charles W. Kerr, 89, retired Katy railroad switchman, were conducted Monday morning from St. Patrick's church, with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas Zachry officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery with Bratcher directing. Rosary services were conducted at Bratcher chapel Sunday night. Kerr had been a patient at the Katy hospital for several years following his retirement as a switchman for the Katy for 22 years. He retired in 1949. He was a member of St. Patrick's church, the B. of L. F. and E. and his residence was at 319 West Gandy. Born in Havana, Illinois, September 30, 1871, he married Gertrude Nasson, December 20, 1902. Surviving are his widow, and a sister, Mrs. H.W. Kifer of Hosuton. Pallbearers were J.B. Baron, C.B. Follis, J.W. Fulce, E.A. Doty, Jim Wegner, and Bob Cantrell.
