WARRICK DEAD Another one of the old pioneers has stepped behind the veil. R.H. Warrick died Tuesday night at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Wallace Lankford, 831 W. Woodard street. His only daughter, Mrs. Lankford, was at the bedside. Mr. Warrick was one of the first settlers of Denison, coming here in the seventies. He was for a number of years manager of the Owen McCarthy hardware house. For several years he was attached to the bridge and building department of the M.K. & T., but was obliged to resign owing to ill health. Mr. Warrick was one of the most efficient and highly esteemed business men that has ever lived in Denison. He was thorough in everything that he undertook. His wife, a faithful and noble help-mate, died several years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Warrick worked very hard to make a home in the country east of Denison, but death and ill health cut short that intention. We regret to chronicle the death of Mr. Warrick. He had been a patient sufferer for the past 3 years, but his faithful daughter and husband have given him every attention. Mr. Warrick was for a long period the confidential clerk of A.R. Collins, the well known real estate dealer. The decedent was born in Beaver county, Pennsylvania, in 1856, and came to Texas when he was a young man. He had lived in Denison many years. He is survived by his parents, who live at Van Buren, Arkansas; 4 brothers; 2 of whom R.R. Warrick of Austin and W.H. Warrick of Lehigh, Oklahoma were here to attend the funeral; and 2 children, Mrs. Lankford and Wallace Warrick, both of Denison. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World. The funeral was conducted from St. Joseph's Church, Rev. Father Hutcheson officiating. Mr. Warrick leaves a son and daughter.
