Denison Daily News Friday, August 23, 1878 pg. 4 The funeral of Miss Mary Nolan, daughter of Mr. J.H. Nolan, of this city, was undoubtedly one of the largest and most imposing funerals ever witnessed in this city. At an early hour Thursday morning St. Patrick's church was filled with many friends of the family to witness the solemn and impressive service of high mass. Father Hennessey, the pastor of the Roman Catholic church at Sherman, officiated, and his oration was a most appropriate one, and certainly a grand and able effort.
