Monday, October 3, 1921 pg. 2 SHERMAN Alfalfa King's Will Filed for Probate Three Ask to be Appointed Smith Administrators Sherman, October 3 - Application to probate the will of the late R.E. (Alfalfa King) Smith has been filed in the Grayson county court by Herbert E. Smith, Mrs. Enid Ellington and C.R. Smith, asking for a letter appointing them as administrators of the deceased's will in which they are appointed administrators. The petition estimates the value of the R.E. Smith property at $ 80,000. It gives the administrators full authority to pay all debts of the deceased as they mature, and instructs them to invest the estate in a way they deem will be most profitable. It provides that the 3 minor children of the deceased, Harold, Dorothy and Virginia, be provided for and given the best education out of the estate, and as they reach majority they be given $3,000 each. The will also provides that the estate shall not be divided until the youngest of his children reached the age of 21 and then the property be divided into 11 equal parts and awarded to the following children: Mrs. Reba Weems Mrs. Nancy Jones Mrs. Rowena Bobbitt Robert Smith Mrs. Enid Ellington Herbert E. Smith Mrs. Jennie Kirkland Harold C. Smith Miss Dorothy Smith Miss Virginia Smith and one-eleventh to Dorothy and Eva Hart, children of Mrs. Eva Hart, deceased, daughter of Mr. Smith, The will was made June 23, 1921.
