Maude's youngest sibling, Mabel, was born in Arkansas in 1896 according to census records; however, the family was living again in Howe by the time Maude was married in 1904, confirmed by her marriage record.  According to family lore, her parents, P.C. and Anne Alexander, were present at her wedding.  After her marriage, she moved to Texarkana, where all their children were born.

Presumably P.C. and Anne continued to live in Howe for at least some time.  I do not know how long they lived there, or what happened to him.  By 1910, Anne Edwards Alexander was living with my grandparents, Olin Leroy & Maude Stephens, and Maude's two youngest siblings in Texarkana.

It is presumed that P. C. & Anne Alexander continued to live in Howe, Texas between 1887 and 1904.
When did they leave Howe, Texas?
What happened to Pinkney Columbus Alexander?

My mother, born in 1928, has no memory of ever meeting her grandfather, P.C. Alexander, who she was told was a photographer. She does remember her grandmother, Anne Alexander.
