services for Lola Orr, who passed away April 13, 2015 at Sherman,
Healthcare Center, were held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 2:00PM in the
Bethel Bells Baptist Church in Bells, Texas, Rev. Henry Hudson, pastor,
officiating; burial followed at Bethel Bells cemetery.
We celebrate the home going of Lola Mae (Mema) Orr, born to the parents of Arthur and Oney Galbreath, in Bells, Texas on March 17th 1924. She was the first of seven children. She confessed Christ and joined Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and served the church faithfully. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. She was noted for her Peach Cobbler, Rum Cake, Banana Pudding and Chicken & Dumplings. Her favorite dishes for breakfast, lunch or supper was Pinto Beans and Candied Yams. She worked for Betty and Dr. Stevens and retired from Wilson N. Jones Hospital. Lola Mae (Mema) Orr was proceeded in death by twin brothers, Odell and Curtis Galbreath; sister, Gertrude (Babe) Moore. She is survived by her sister Audrey Hudson. She was the mother of three chldren, Stacy Galbreath, who proceed her in death. She is also survived by Billie Dolores-erry (Charlie) of La Porte, Texas; and Kenneth Fields (Mary) of Sherman, Texas, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Services were entrusted to James E. Smith with Scoggins Funeral Home 637 W.
