  Susie M. Denton 1874 - 1970 John L. Denton 1870 - 1944 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, January 22, 1970 pg. 7 Funeral services for Mrs. John L. Denton, 95, who died Thursday at 6:20 a.m. in the Whitewright Nursing Home, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Earnheart chapel. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Denton was born Susie M. Jones, October 31, 1874 in Grayson county and she married John Denton November 6, 1892. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church for 77 years. Survivors include two sons, Ezra and Earl of Sherman; one daughter, Mrs. Jewel Jarvis, Whitewright; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Lena M.
