VAN ALSTYNE - James P. Williams, 82, of Van Alstyne, died April 3,
1997, in Wilson N. Jones Regional Health System.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. April 6, 1997 in Earnheart Funeral
Home Chapel in Whitewright.
The Rev. Bill McFatridge will officiate and burial will be in Bethel
Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born July 3, 1914 in the Bethel community, the
son of Mallie Williams and Frankie Autrey. He married Francis Phillips
on May 24, 1992 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a farmer and aircraft machinist
for Bell Helicopter in Trenton.
Surviving are his sons, James Williams of Olney, Johnny Mack Williams
of Sherman and Charles "Chuck" Williams and Davis Williams, both of Whitewright;
daughters, Laura Jean Sanderson of Garland, Betty Ann Cleveland of Hurst,
Nancy Sue Bing and Brenda Kay Wright, both of Van Alstyne, and Leta Darlene
Wright of Whitewright; brother, William Mac Williams of Whitewright; sisters,
Laura Jo Alexander and Barbara Ann Wilson, both of Whitewright; and 20
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Key, Keith Williams, Jeff Williams, Matt
Williams, David Williams, Jr. and Charles Williams, Jr.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Memorial Fund.
