5 miles south of Whitesboro, Grayson Co., Texas Location: Corner of Shadow Valley and Quail Hill. Stop at the house on the northeast corner of the intersection. There are over 100 graves in a locked pasture. Many graves are lost or unmarked, including slaves, old soldiers, and forgotten ones. The land for the cemetery was donated by Benjamin "Ben" R. Dye. He was but a young man when he helped to bury the first person in the local cemetery, Mr. E.D. Webster, uncle to young Ben Dye who died in 1861 at the beginning of the Civil War.
