A12 Services for Robin Fletcher Taylor, 87-year-old Sherman resident, will be held at 11 a.m. today in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. He died Monday in Waco. The Revs. James Kilgore of Life Tabernacle of Houston, John Kershaw of Christian World in Richardson and Jack DeHart of Christ Temple in Irving will officiate. Burial will be in Akers Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was born in Abbott, a son of G.W. and Ada Hill Taylor. On Aug. 30, 1934, he married Ruby Lucille Fuller. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a farmer and was employed by Taylor Tank Company of Gunter, retiring in 1975. He was a longtime member of the United Pentecostal Church and was attending Christ Temple in Irving. Pallbearers will be Harold Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Terry Taylor, Jerry Ritchie, Michael Ritchie, Eugene Ritchie, Danny Harris and Joe Welch. Surviving are his son, Robin "Rick" Taylor Jr. of Sherman; daughters, LaVon Taylor of Waco and Robbidean Gruver of Plano; sister, Olga Kerr of Sherman; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
