SHERMAN - Eva Mae Estes, 67-year-old Sherman resident, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
Eva Mae was born Dec. 19, 1942 in Sherman, daughter of Allen and Ida Ramsey. She married Donald Estes on Aug. 22, 1980 in Sherman.
Eva enjoyed spending time with family and playing computer games. She also enjoyed teaching the children in Vacation Bible School at Crutchfield Heights Baptist Church of which she was a longtime member.
Eva Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Estes; brother-in-law, Frank Bonner; nephew, Tony Stephens; and her parents, Allen and Ida Ramsey.
Surviving are her sisters, Wilma Bonner, Linda Stephens and husband, Tommy, all of Sherman; sister by choice, Marie Spivey and husband, Allen of Sherman; sisters-in-law, Fay Ramsey of Dexter, Judy Ramsey of Longview. She is also survived by her special niece and nephew, Jodi Menjivar and Jimmy Ramsey, whom she lived with after her husband passed. And many more nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Akers Cemetery in Sherman, Texas. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
