  John L. DeWitt 19 October 1942 - 6 April 2019 Patricia J. DeWitt 13 April 1941 - 21 September 2006  Johnny L. "John" Dewitt, 76, entered into eternal life Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Denison, Texas. John was born October 19, 1942 in Sherman, Texas, son of Johnnie and Lloyd Dewitt. John was active in the Sherman Elks Lodge. He loved to play darts and pool. He loved to go fishing and camping. He was a good honest and hardworking man. He married Patricia on February 27, 1987 in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. Dewitt is survived by his children, Richard Dewitt, Kimberly Cogburn; stepson David Swabb and stepdaughter, Kellie Allen; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and grandson, Chaz Turner. Graveside services were held Friday morning, April 12, 2019 at Akers Cemetery.
