Howe - Funeral services for W.H. "Spike" Bowden, 80, were held Monday in Flesher Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne with Roger Tidwell officiating. Burial was in Akers Cemetery. He died Friday, April 14, 2006 in Wilson N. Jones Medical Center.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Bowden of Howe; sons, Spike David Bowden of Sherman; Robert Daniel Bowden of Pottsboro; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Wayne Bowden of Dallas; Joe Charles Bowden of Gainesville; sister, Melba Jean Campbell of Richmond, Virginia.

Robert "Dan" Bowden was born October 6, 1955 in Sherman, Texas. He passed from this life on November 28, 2021. His life was celebrated on Friday afternoon, December 3, 2021. in Sherman at Waldo Funeral home. Burial followed at Akers Cemetery in Sherman.
Dan was the proud father of 2 daughters, one son, and 7 grandchildren. He loved music, playing games, watching movies, and comedy shows. He was a die-hard Marine and was a wonderful husband and a very generous man.
Dan graduated from Howe High School in 1974. He joined the Marine Corps in 1976 and retired in 1994. He started working at Texas Instruments in Sherman in 1994 and retired in 2020.
He is preceded in death by his father, W.H. "Spike" Bowden; and mother Willie Mae "Ann" Bowden.
Dan is survived by his wife, Teresa Bowden of 16 years of Pottsboro, Texas; daughter, April Bowden of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Dawn Wormsbaker & son-in-law, Josh Wormsbaker, of Rockwall, Texas; son, Ryan Trujillo of Pottsboro, Texas. Also grandchildren: Chase Woodrum, Alissa Trujillo, Ava Wormsbaker, Ella Wormsbaker, Uneek Foster, Axton Lamance, and Eedyn Vanessa Bowden and Maryann Bowden.
Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas.
