Thursday, April 7, 1968 pg. 3 MRS. IONE RANKIN DIES THURSDAY; SERVICES SUNDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Ione M. Rankin, 90, of Howe, life-long resident of Grayson County, were held at 4 p.m. last Sunday at Waldo Funeral Chapel, Sherman. Mrs. Rankin died at 11:10 a.m. Thursday at a Sherman hospital after a short illness. Services were conducted by Rev. Bill Hindman, pastor of Howe First Baptist Church, and Rev. C.J. Graves, pastor of Friendship Methodist Church. Interment was in Akers Cemetery. Mrs. Rankin was born October 31, 1877 in Grayson County, near here, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.H. McCoy. She attended public schools here, graduating from high school, and had lived in Howe her entire life. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charlie Henley of Howe; one brother, Price McCoy of Sherman; one granddaughter, two grandsons, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
