June was born October 6, 1926 to Houston O. and Mary Annetta Collins Dickinson.  Out of the five children, she was one of the two that wass born on her mother's Chickasaw allotment land in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.  June was very proud of her Native American heritage and sought to instill respect for native and tribal traditions to her children.  Daughter, Beth Alexander, currently serves as a Chickasaw legislator.
In 1950 she married her sweetheart, Donald A. Leake and moved to Peoria, Illinois.  There he was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Co. to play basketball with the Caaterpillar Diesels in the Amateur Athletic Union.  After a move to Dallas, Texas in 1962. June raised a growing family and later assisted her husband when he opened his own insurance agency.  In 1972 the family moved to Denison and bought the Roto-Rooter Sewer and Drain Cleaning franchise for Grayson and surrounding counties.  After serving the community for 35 years, they sold the company to their son, Matthew.
Besides her relationship with Jesus Christ, one of June's greatest joys was her family.  She loved the many occasions when all of the large extended family would gather.  She often commented how blessed she was to have such a close relationship to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 4 children, Jeffrey Leake of Sherman; and Matthew Leake of Denison; Becky Clayton of Tyler; and Beth Alexander of Achille, Oklahoma; and 9 grandchildren, Josh and Will Alexander; Heath, Ben, Jared, and Laura Clayton; Dan and Nathan Leake; and Olivia Nelson.  She is also proud of her 6 great-grandchildren, Ever Grace and Harlow Alexander; and Joseph, Silas and Samuel Nelson; and Gabriel Alexander.  - - - Waldo Funeral Home
