  Adrian Bates Johnston 9 Novmeber 1899 - 27 July 1935  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock for Mrs. R.C. Johnston, Sr., who died Monday afternoon at the home of her mother, Mrs. L. V. Bates, of Howe, Texas. Mrs. Johnston was the wife of R.C. Johnston Sr., of the Beckham Hotel, this city. Services were held from the Dannel Funeral Chapel, Sherman, with Rev. Graves and Rev. Brown, both of Howe, officiating the final rites. Interment followed at Akers Cemetery, Sherman.
