The Wilsons and Douglass settled on a Peter's Colony land-grant.  They came from Tennessee with the Throckmortons.  Some Wilsons and the Throckmortons settled in Collin County. 

WILSON CREEK (Collin County). Wilson Creek rises two miles east of Celina in northwestern Collin County (at 3307' N, 9632' W) and runs southeast for twenty-three miles, passing within two miles of McKinney and bending around Walnut Grove Cemetery and under State Highway 75, to its mouth on the East Fork of the Trinity River near Lake Lavon (a 3320' N, 9645' W). In the 1840s the stream was called Ten Mile Creek because that was the distance from its banks to the camp of James W. Throckmorton. The future governor of Texas renamed the creek a few years later in honor of his hunting companion and fellow county Democrat, Pleasant Wilson. Intermittent in its upper reaches, Wilson Creek flows through moderately to gently rolling terrain, surfaced by deep, clayey and loamy soils. The native vegetation consists of mesquite, juniper, oak, grasses, and some cacti, but it has largely been replaced by cultivated row or cover crops.
