HOUSING FACILITIES
FLYING SCHOOL INSPECTED Maj. R.W. Warren of Randolph Field, San Antonio, of the Coast Guard area air corps, who will be stationed here after the Grayson county basic air corps school is completed was conducting another inspection of local housing facilities for members of his staff, some of whom are expected to arrive in August, and reviewing construction underway at the school site, south of Pottsboro. EVERYDAY DENISON by Pat Perry An estimated million and a half board feet of lumber have been delivered to the Grayson air corps basic flying school south of Pottsboro and the movement is picking up daily although there still is not enough of volume on hand for operations to reach..... Texax, Aug. 23. (INS) - Denison voters are getting full value for their
poll tax payment this year. Today they are voting in the fourth
election that wasn't scheduled last January when they purchased the
right to vote.
An off-year for elections, 1941 already has had five with the possibility of others before the year is out. On the regular schedule was the mayor's election. The four special elections were naming a city commissioner to succeed the late J. T. May: United States senator to succeed the late Morris B.
