Sunday, January 21, 1912 pg. 3 EARLY DAYS IN DENISON Items of Local and General Interest from the Columns of the Denison Gazetteer Week Ending June 12, 1886 A young man about 19 years of age from letters in his pocket supposed to be J.C. White of Kentucky, was suddenly killed and his body mangled in a horrible manner in the lower Pacific yards Saturday forenoon. He was standing on the H. & T.C. track, and to avoid a switch engine approaching stepped onto the Pacific track and was crushed beneath a string of flat cars being pushed down the track.
