Whitewright,
Tex., March 24.- Robert OSBORNE, a railroad man, received the following
notice yesterday from unknown parties
styling themselves whitecaps. The
note read as follows:
Robt. OSBORNE: You are informed to leave this town inside of twenty-four hours. The best thing you can do is to leave this town.
WHITE CAPS
Mr.
OSBORNE is a young man and has always enjoyed the reputation of being a
law-abiding citizen. He stated to THE NEWS reporter that he was here to
stay and if the whitecaps wanted him he was at their service. The
notice was mailed in the post office here. OSBORNE seems to take the
matter in a cool manner and says he is ready for the whitecaps at any
moment they see fit to attack him.
