MAIL CARRIER STARTS ON TWENTY-FIFTH YEAR
Lucian Andrews is the oldest rural mail carrier in point of service on the rural routes out of Whitewright.  He began carrying mail on oa Whitewright route twenty-four years ago last Friday, and is now working on his twenty-fifth year.  He was one of the first carriers to deliver mail to the farmers from the Whitewright post office, and is the only carrier in the service here now that began on the first day it was established, which was on December 16, 1903.  W.H. King was postmaster at the time.
Mr. Andrews has held responsible positions in the state and national organizations of the Rural Letter-Carrier's Association, and is now director of the insurance department of the national organization.
