Miss Kate Fulton and Miss Mae Hall are attending summer school at NTSC, Denton.
J.E. "Bud" Pennell, formerly of Tom Bean, died in Dallas Sunday.
Asa Walker, of the Desert community died last Saturday.

William P. Cameron, for a number of years a citizen of Whitewright, died at his home in Dallas Tuesday.
Miss Mollie Scott, daughter of A.T. Scott of the Pilot Grove community, died in Dallas Thursday.
Dick Barbee has gone to Dallas where he will join the international truck caravan.
Fender May has been appointed substitute clerk at the post office by Postmaster B.P. Brents.
Houston Young, northwest of town and Miss Opal Jernigan of Bells, were married on June 5.

W.N. "Button" Wilson,  66, of the Orangeville, community, died Monday.
Roger Holcomb and Guy Yowell, who have been working with the CCC at Farmersville, have been selected for re-enlistment.
Mrs. H.V. Beardsley, 63, daughter of A.T. Scott of Pilot Grove, died at her home in Dallas Friday.

Daniel Crawford Watson, 63, died at his home here Saturday.
Lloyd Badgett, James Claborn, James B. Phillips, Ferrell A. Robertson, Lloyd Roddy, J.P. Simmons, Robert Simmons, and Jack Wallace have enrolled in the citizens military training camp at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Bowen on June 29.
Mrs. C.C. Cates honored her granddaughter, Joyce Ann Chick of Dallas, with a party Saturday afternoon, it being her birthday.
Mrs. Clifton Jones entertained the Needlecraft Club Wednesday with a luncheon.
