Company picture taken in 1898. Their son, Will A. Medlen of Nocona, says his father built and operated the first brick hotel in Whitewright in 1887. The structure later became a bank building and was the only downtown building to survive the big fire of 1911. It has been housing the Whitewright Public Library. [Photo Courtesy of Will A.
