DONATES CABIN TO BOY SCOUTS
With a vision of the potential possibilities for good in the permanent organization here of a troop of Boy Scouts of America, Ferd Moore, prominent citizen of Sherman and son of the late Mayor T.B. Moore of this city, has donated funds for the erection of a cabin or regular meeting place for the troop.  Mr.  Moore was present at the Rotary Club lucheon last Friday, at which time Scout Master J.E. Montgomery outlined the activities, progress and near future needs of the Boy Scout movement.  At the close of the Scoutmaster's statement, Mr. Moore said he would like to provide a cabin for the Boy Scouts as a memorial to his father.  The gift has been accepted and every care will be taken to construct and maintain a hut that will reflect the generous impulse of the doner and bear, as he desired, a reminder of his father's gift of unselfish service to this community.  In their search for the ways of good citizenship the Boy Scouts could not choose wiser than to embody into their code of ethics the precepts and principles which T.B. Moore so faithfully exemplified during his life time.  This visible token in remembrance of a good man will tend to further enlist the support and interest of the people in the Boy Scout work in this community.
