Home Destroyed by Fire Saturday
The farm home of A.W. Bow, five miles south of Whitewright, occupied by his son, Jesse Bow, and family, was destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon.  The household furnishings and a smokehouse nearby were also consumed.  The occupants were in town shopping and there was no one at the house when the fire started.  Two young men passing the house, which is on the highway,
saw an unusual volume of smoke issuing from the chimney.  Proceeding further they looked back and decided the house was on fire.  Returning to the structure they found the interior burning and beyond control.  Insurance to the amount of $1400 was carried
on the house, which was valued at approximately $3500.
Contents of the dwelling were not spared.
