Help to beautify Whitewright by building a concrete curb in front of your home.  By doing this more space is provided for shade trees and flowers. Several have had curbs put down since the first of the year and they are all well pleased with the results.

Leap Year Club
On Tuesday evening of last week our club was royally entertained by Miss Mildred Cantrell. After a short busiiness session was held games were indulged in. After spending some time at this popular pastime the hostess served delicious chicken sandwiches, salad, pickles and hot chocolate. The evening was one of the most enjoyable the club has had.

Last Tuesday evening Misses Mae and Eddye Badgett entertained the Club at the home of the latter. After all business matters had been discussed they adjourned temporarily and went in a body to the movies. The title of the play was "Wanted, a Husband." Obviously every member was very well pleased with the picture, although some were badly disappointed with the results. Again that evening they assembled at Miss Badgett's for some real pleasure - eats. Delicious sandwiches, salad, pickles and coffee were served. Just because the Club drank coffee instead of Champagne is no reason for their being a "dry" bunch, becuase you ca't do no better in Texas.
